My car was built in Metuchen, NJ, in October, 1966. That's a very early '67 model. so my car is actually 46 years old! When I bought it it still looked very original. The previous owners were careful enough to maintain the original, period looks of the car; the lime-gold paint, the vinyl roof cover, the correct styled steel wheels, the interior and exterior Decor Groups, which included on the outside: full chrome trim, vinyl top, tail applique panels, and wheels. On the interior it included the center console, dual-tone seats, brushed aluminum trim, Cruise-o-matic tranny (C4) and many other amenities. The engine is the trusty, 200-hp 289cc Windsor V8. The valve covers were replaced with "Power by Ford" stamped type. The exhaust system was replaced by a non-correct 2.5-inch, dual pipe system using Dynomax Mufflers.
Since I own the car, many mechanical parts have been replaced; the water pump, fan clutch, starter relay, shock absorbers, electronic ignition, distributor cap, spark plugs, engine mounts, tires, among other parts.
The car was restored in 1994-95 by Mr. William Pacheco, a previous owner. The engine was re-bored and rebuilt, a lot of sheet metal and chrome trim replaced, and the interior was upgraded. Since then, not much was done to the car. The paint, which looks great from even 20 feet away, shows many chips and cracks once you get close. It was definitely time to do the car some justice.
