Interior floor Cleaning and Prepping

Today I spent a great deal of time scraping old paint, putty and gunk from the floor. Then I decided it was time to remove the seat platforms to inspect the metal underneath. As expected, plenty of rust was found, but it was all removed and the metal scraped with hand and rotary sanding and grinding. A few very small rust-through holes were seen along the rocker panel, enough to make me want to remove a slice of sheetmetal  replace it with new metal welded to the floor pan.

A slice of floorpan with rust holes was removed

a new patch of sheetmetal was welded to the floorpan
Also, most of the superficial, powdery red rust under the dash was also sanded away. A good 70% of the rust in the interior was removed, sanded away and primed.
