100 Years of the Army at Tobyhanna

Me and the family went to the Depot Open House today to enjoy the festivities of the 100 Years of the Army at Toby. The car show was great; over 80 cars showed up. There were not that many Classic Mustangs; only 3 represented us Classic Mustang Enthusiasts. I was expecting a lot more Mustangs. I know there are Mustang gatherings from local owners in nearby Scranton.

But it was still a nice show. I love the new 2012 Roush Stage 3 Stang with that awesome Roush supercharger.  I spoke to a local retired soldier that paints cars. Hopefully and maybe we can come to an agreement and have him paint my car after I'm done with the bodywork. He painted the black 66' restomod above. I would love my car to turn out like this....
I saw a few cars that were most likely painted by their owners, or non-professional friends. Bodywork done on them exhibited all kinds of imperfections. Orange peel all over the place. Never having done any bodywork or painting myself I know pretty much what was done wrong and how to do it right. All I need is some muscle memory to develop the hand skills necessary to do the job right. This will come in time...
